I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and have been an avid photographer since 1995. I primarily shoot photos using high-end Nikon Digital SLR cameras and lenses, although I also employ a Pentax K-1000 film camera for shooting 35mm slides or print film.

My goal as a photographer is not just capturing a moment in time, it is being able to evoke emotion when viewing the images. It is being able to relive the excitement from the day of the shoot, whether it be a wedding, high school senior portraits, or a family photo. Photography is so personal and so individual. Your photos should be a reflection of who YOU are, not a set of “cookie cutter” images.

I am an on location photographer, which means I come to your home, your favorite park, or a location that best meets your needs. I specialize in capturing the natural, outdoor look. I prefer natural light and believe nature is a wonderful backdrop. Outdoor sessions are usually in the morning or late afternoon hours. When not taking photos, I can often be found volunteering at a local railroad museum or singing karaoke.
